Welcome to the Junior Woman's Club of Arlington

President's Message:

This year's Club theme is "Raising Successful Families Through Volunteerism".  An old proverb states "It takes a village to raise a child".  There is much controversy about where it originated - Africa - Native America.  But one thing is certain, it is still true today.

Reflecting back on previous club years, we have demonstrated that JWCA is wonderful at giving back to the Community.  The Junior Club members are a diverse group of women but we all have one wish in common,  to raise a successful family. And we can do it - both our own family and the Community's families.

By volunteering at JWCA each one of us is accomplishing at least two objectives (1) we are teaching and raising our families to be a better part of the community and (2) we are creating a better community that our families can flourish in.  By continuing and expanding our collaboration with our sister clubs and local organizations, we can provide assistance  to more needy children and families than ever before.  Through our State Project, the Valerie Fund, we will also be able to support and help children and their families affected by cancer and blood disorders. Leading our families by example and encouraging them to participate we are "Raising Successful Families Through Volunteerism".

At this time I would like to thank Kim Riberio for the last two years as Club President and for her guidance and encouragement  during the transition of offices.

I look forward to another Club year packed with Success, Friendship, Activities and Events.
